Academic Leader

Tao Lu, born in February 1975, holds a Ph.D., is a professor and doctoral supervisor, who also serves as a member of the Heat and Mass Transfer Committee within the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, and a director of the Engineering Thermophysics Committee within the Chinese Society of Higher Education. He received his Ph.D. in Power Machinery and Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in 2003, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics at Tsinghua University in 2005. Since 2005, he has been engaged in teaching and research at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. During this period, he served as a member of the 8th Batch of the Doctoral Service Group of the Central Committee of the Youth League of the C.O.D. Ministry of the People's Republic of China in Qinghai Province from 2008 to 2009 and as a visiting scholar at Iowa State University from 2012 to 2013. In 2008 and 2013, he was selected for the Beijing Science and Technology Rising Star Program and the Ministry of Education's New Century Outstanding Talents Support Program, respectively. For the past several years, he has hosted 5 face projects and 1 key project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as over 30 collaborative projects. In addition, he has published more than 120 academic papers, of which more than 50 are SCI-indexed, and has been awarded more than 10 patents.
