Concurrently, he serves as the Director of the Expert Committee of the China Plastic Processing Industry Association, Deputy Director of the Expert Committee of the China Plastic Machinery Industry, Member of the Automation Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Member of the Rubber Division of the Chinese Chemical Society, Senior Consultant Expert of the Rubber Machinery Professional Committee of China, Chairman of the China Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers, and Director of the Asian Society for Polymer Processing. He is also the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Clean Energy Science and Technology, Deputy Editor of the Journal of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and an editorial board member of several journals, including China Plastics,Plastics, Rubber Industry, Plastic& Rubber Technology and Equipment, and Computer-Aided Engineering.
His primary research field is "Polymer Material Processing and Advanced Manufacturing." Over the past five years, he has led more than 60 projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Science and Technology Support Program, and the National Key R&D Program. His research has resulted in over 600 invention patent applications, with more than 360 patents granted, including 9 PCT international patents and 5 U.S. patents. He has published 15 books, including two in English: Advances in Polymer Processing and Polymer 3D Printing and 3D Copying Technology. Additionally, he has authored over 500 academic papers and delivered more than 60 invited reports at domestic and international academic conferences. His accolades include 3 National Science and Technology Awards and 16 provincial and ministerial Science and Technology Awards. He has been honored with titles such as "National Outstanding Teacher," "National Excellent Science and Technology Worker in Chemical Engineering," "Beijing Advanced Worker," and "Beijing Outstanding Teacher."
Currently serving as the Dean of High-Tech Research Institute at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor. He is also the Deputy Director of the Polymer Materials Processing Equipment Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education. Additionally, he holds several key positions, including Secretary-General of Association of Injection Molding Products(AIMP), Executive Committee Member of the Asian Workshop on Polymer Processing (AWPP), Council Member/Expert Committee Member of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association (CPPIA), Council Member/Expert Committee Member of the China Plastic Machinery Industry Association (CPMIA), Member of the National Technical Committee on Standardization of Rubber and Plastic Machinery, Vice Chairman of the First Council of the China Digital Simulation Alliance, Editorial Board Member of China Plastics, and Evaluation Expert for the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Key R&D Programs and Major Talent Projects.
His primary research focuses on advanced manufacturing technologies and equipment for the molding of high-performance polymer materials. In recent years, he has undertaken more than 20 national and provincial-level research projects, including the National Key R&D Program, the National Science and Technology Support Program, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published 219 academic papers in high-impact domestic and international journals, of which 81 are indexed by SCI/EI. He has filed 102 national invention patent applications (56 granted), 67 utility model patent applications (60 granted), and 2 international PCT patents. Additionally, he has secured 1 national software copyright.
He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Prize), four First Prizes for Provincial and Ministerial-Level Scientific and Technological Progress, and recognitions such as the Outstanding Innovation Team of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Innovation Team, the National Petrochemical Education Outstanding Teaching Team, the Beijing Youth Talent Program, and the “Youth Talent Hundred Program (Category A)” of Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
His individual honors include the Outstanding Figure in the 30th Anniversary of the Development of China’s Plastic Machinery Industry, the China Plastic Machinery Industry Science and Technology Talent Award, as well as accolades from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, such as the Graduate “Moral Education Mentor” Award, Outstanding Teacher, President’s Award, Outstanding Undergraduate Education Team, and Teaching Master Award.
