Thermal Science and Technology Research Center mainly focuses on conducting research in nuclear energy and power, aerospace, petrochemical engineering, energy and environmental sciences, and other fields related to key thermophysical issues. Currently, it has developed strong disciplinary directions with advantages in the above fields. Based on these research fields, the Thermal Science and Technology Research Center has completed over 8 key projects and surface projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as over 30 collaborative projects in recent years. Furthermore, it has established close cooperative relationships with leading national enterprises such as China National Nuclear Corporation, China General Nuclear Power Group, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation, and China Petrochemical Corporation.

The center has sufficient research funding, strong academic atmosphere and excellent research conditions. At present, it has one professor, two associate professors, and around 30 graduate students. The team has been recruiting postdoctoral researchers and young talent for a long time, as well as welcoming applications from academic or professional master's and doctoral students.
