He was ever the General Secretary of the Ministry of Education's Guiding Sub-committee for Process Equipment and Control Engineering Teaching in Colleges and Universities, Executive Director of the Sub-Society for Pressure Vessels of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, a member of the Heat Exchanger Committee of the Sub-Society for Pressure Vessels of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, a member of Expansion Joints Committee and Design Committee, a member of the Chemical Machinery Committee of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, and a member of China Promotion Association for Special Equipment Safety and Energy-saving. He has one course named as a national exquisite course, and his "Comprehensive Teaching Reform for Process Equipment and Control Engineering" won the first prize of Education and Teaching Achievements of Beijing Municipality and the first prize for National Teaching Achievements; his "Research and Practice of Cultivation of Applied Innovative Talents in Process Equipment and Control Engineering" won the first prize for Education and Teaching Achievements of Beijing Municipality, and his "Principle of Stress Corrosion Caused by Passive Film-induced Stress" won the second prize for Science and Technology Progress granted by Ministry of Education.
