From September 9 to 11, 2025, the registration and entrance education for over 300 new master's and doctoral students of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering were simultaneously carried out at the Changping Campus and East Campus.
At 8:00 AM on September 9, staff and volunteers assisted new students through the registration process, helping them quickly integrate into campus life and experience the school's care. The school's leadership and all full-time and part-time counselors of the Graduate Student Affairs Team were stationed at both campuses to provide consultation and guidance services alongside volunteers, ensuring a smooth and orderly orientation process. The registration site was well-organized and filled with a warm atmosphere.
At 17:30, the school's leadership team visited the graduate student dormitories at both campuses, engaging in friendly conversations with new students to understand their adjustment to campus life and gather feedback. They reminded students to prioritize dormitory safety and foster unity and mutual assistance, encouraging them to actively engage in their graduate studies and campus life.




University and School Leadership Participated in On-Site Orientation Activities
At 14:00 on September 10, members of the Graduate Student Affairs Team and all 2025 master's students attended the school's first entrance education session at the "Truth Lecture Hall" on the Changping Campus. Doctoral students simultaneously joined via live stream at the lecture hall on the second floor of the East Campus Conference Center. Yu Hongjie, Secretary of the School Party Committee; Wang Weimin, Dean of the School; Zhang Jing, Vice Dean; Tang Gang, Vice Dean; and Zhang Ya, Graduate Secretary, delivered thematic presentations on ideal and belief education, disciplinary development, safety education, graduate training and academic ethos, and an interpretation of the "Graduate Student Handbook." Following the session, Graduate Counselor Qi Haoying organized separate meetings for master's and doctoral students, held the first class meetings by cohort, and successfully completed the election and establishment of the Party Branch Committee, Youth League Branch Committee, and Class Committees to help new students adapt to graduate life and studies.








Members of the Graduate Student Affairs Team Conducted Entrance Education for New Students
At 9:30 AM on September 11, the responsible comrades of the Graduate Student Party General Branch delivered a special Party lecture on Party member development and a thematic report on graduate academic careers and daily management in the Science Auditorium for all 2025 new students.
The three-day orientation activities concluded successfully. Moving forward, the school will focus on guiding graduate students' ideological values and supporting their academic development through various measures to ensure the comprehensive improvement of talent cultivation quality.
