On the morning of June 20, the 2025 Master's Degree Conferral Ceremony of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering was grandly held in the Science Auditorium of the East Campus. Attendees included Gao Jinji, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Ren Zhongqi, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President; Liang Yongtu, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President; and Wang Weimin, Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. The ceremony was presided over by Yu Hongjie, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School.
The ceremony commenced with the solemn singing of the national anthem.
Wang Weimin, Dean of the School and Director of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, delivered a speech to the master's graduates. On behalf of all faculty and students, he extended warm congratulations to the 2025 graduating class of master's students and expressed high respect and heartfelt gratitude to the mentors and parents who diligently nurtured the graduates.
Li Xuemei, Secretary of the Party General Branch of the Department of Art and Design, addressed the ceremony. She warmly congratulated all master's graduates, expressed high respect and sincere thanks to the parents, families, and teachers of the graduates, and encouraged them to persist in their efforts and achieve further excellence in the future.
Professor Gao Jinji, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, spoke as a representative of the master's student supervisors. In his speech, he encouraged the students to aspire to contribute to the nation and hone their skills through practice. He emphasized the importance of maintaining rigorous self-discipline, independent thinking, and teamwork, while also prioritizing physical and mental health. He urged them to contribute their youth to the nation's development and the great cause of national rejuvenation through concrete actions. Finally, Academician Gao recited a self-composed poem for the graduates, which was met with an enthusiastic response.
Graduate representatives Zhu Liwen and Li Zhuoxin delivered speeches, sharing their achievements and experiences during their studies and expressing gratitude to their alma mater as well as their determination to strive diligently in the future.
Wang Weimin announced the list of recipients of the 2025 Outstanding Master's Thesis Awards from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Ren Zhongqi and Liang Yongtu, Members of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice Presidents, jointly presented honorary certificates to the awardees, shaking hands cordially with the graduates and taking group photos.
Wang Weimin also announced the list of master's degree recipients from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the Department of Art and Design. Representatives of supervisors, including Gao Jinji, Ren Zhongqi, Liang Yongtu, Wang Weimin, Zhuang Yibing, Tang Gang, Xue Ping, Zhang Jianwen, Lu Tao, and Liang Lihong, turned the tassels and conferred degree certificates to all master's graduates, followed by group photos.
The ceremony concluded with the university anthem performed by graduate representatives and campus singers, filling the venue with joy and warmth.
More than 300 people attended the ceremony, including members of the School's Party and Administration leadership team Ren Feng, Zhang Jing, and Pan Xin, representatives of supervisors, class advisors, graduates, and their families.
