On the afternoon of October 31st, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering organized a meeting for the 2025-level middle-level leading cadres to meet with the undergraduate classes they are in charge of. The middle-level leading cadres who are in charge of the 2025-level freshmen classes, the freshmen class counselors and head teachers attended the meeting.
Before the meeting, the college held a seminar in the first floor network conference room of the library in Changping Campus. Yu Hongjie explained the work plan for the middle-level leading cadres to contact undergraduate classes carried out by the college. The counselors of each class respectively reported on the basic situation of each class, the ideological status of the students, the construction of the study atmosphere, daily affairs and existing problems. The leaders, head teachers and counselors present conducted detailed exchanges on multiple aspects such as student needs, work plans and growth guidance.
After the seminar, the middle-level leaders went into their respective contact classes to hold class meetings. Through the theme class meeting communication mode, the middle-level leaders engaged in exchanges with the freshmen from multiple dimensions such as ideological guidance, school history and situation, adaptation to college life, professional cognition, and moral cultivation, listening to the students' opinions and suggestions. They also combined their own learning and work experiences to guide the young students to firmly believe in Marxism, have faith in socialism with Chinese characteristics, and have confidence in the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, to set the great aspiration of serving the country and strengthening the nation, and to be brave and responsible strivers.
This meeting has built a bridge for communication and exchange between middle-level leading cadres and the new class. In the future, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering will, in accordance with the work plan, continuously deepen the communication mechanism between teachers and students through various rich forms such as meetings, seminars, and theme class meetings, gather the synergy for education, and provide a solid guarantee for cultivating new era talents capable of shouldering the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.
