To effectively enhance laboratory safety management, eliminate potential safety hazards, and ensure campus safety and stability during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, on the morning of September 30th, the leadership team of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering led a comprehensive and detailed safety inspection of the laboratories in the East area. Yu Hongjie, Wang Weimin, Tang Gang, Zhang Jing and relevant laboratory managers participated in this inspection.

This inspection covered all the research laboratories in the east District, focusing on aspects such as the management of hazardous chemicals, the use of electrical equipment, the provision of fire-fighting facilities, the operation status of experimental equipment, and the implementation of safety regulations. During the inspection, the hospital leaders visited each laboratory in depth, carefully understood the work progress and safety management of each link and position, inspected the experimental environment on the spot, put forward rectification suggestions on the spot for the problems found, and required the relevant responsible persons to complete the rectification within the prescribed time limit.

That night, several hospital leaders conducted another night inspection, focusing on checking the operation of the laboratories at night and the on-duty status of the laboratory personnel.

During the inspection, the college leaders emphasized that laboratory safety is the bottom line of the college's teaching and research work, and safety must always be kept in mind. All laboratories must earnestly fulfill their primary responsibility for safety, strengthen daily inspections and hidden danger investigations, and ensure that all safety measures are effectively implemented. It is also proposed to further improve the laboratory safety management system, strengthen safety education and training for teachers and students, enhance emergency response capabilities, and create a safe, standardized and orderly experimental environment.

This safety inspection further enhanced the safety awareness of teachers and students and consolidated the foundation of laboratory safety management. The College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering will continue to promote the regular management of laboratory safety, providing a solid guarantee for the high-quality development of the school.
