On the morning of June 20th, the 2025 Master's Degree Awarding Ceremony of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering was grandly held in the Science Hall of the East Campus. Gao Jinji, Ren Zhongqi, Liang Yongtu, Wang Weimin and others attended the ceremony. Yu Hongjie presided over the ceremony.
The degree conferral ceremony commenced solemnly to the sound of the the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.
Wang Weimin offered his message to the master's graduates. On behalf of all faculty and students of the college, he extended warm congratulations to all the 2025 master's graduates and expressed his highest respect and heartfelt thanks to the mentors and parents who have diligently nurtured the graduates. He encouraged the graduates to integrate their personal aspirations into the cause of the Party and the nation. In their future careers, he hopes that students will focus on the country's major strategic needs and bravely take on responsibilities in areas such as breaking through critical 'bottleneck' technologies, promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, and serving regional coordinated development. At the time of parting, he advised the students to aim high and take practical action; to always be grateful and cultivate good character, and welcomed everyone to return to their alma mater often.
Li Xuemei delivered a speech, extending warm congratulations to all the master's graduates, expressing high respect and heartfelt thanks to the parents, family members, and teachers of this graduating class, and hoping that they will continue to strive for excellence and achieve even greater success in their future endeavors.
Professor Gao Jinji spoke on behalf of the master's student supervisors. In his speech, Academician Gao encouraged the students, saying that young scholars should harbor the ambition to serve the country and hone strong skills through practice; they should adhere to a rigorous and disciplined work ethic, persist in independent thinking, while also improving their teamwork abilities and maintaining both physical and mental health, contributing their youthful energy to the construction of a strong nation and the great cause of national rejuvenation through concrete actions. Finally, Academician Gao presented all the graduates with a self-composed seven-character regulated verse, which received an enthusiastic response from the graduates.
Graduate representatives Julie Wen and Li Zhuoxin each gave a speech, sharing the achievements and gains they made during their studies, expressing their gratitude to their alma mater and their determination to strive hard in the future.
Wang Weimin announced the list of recipients of the 2025 Outstanding Master's Theses from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Ren Zhongqi and Liang Yongtu presented the certificates of honor to the recipients of the Outstanding Master's Theses, warmly shook hands with the graduates, and took commemorative photos together.
Wang Weimin announced the list of master's degree recipients from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the Department of Arts and Design. Gao Jinji, Ren Zhongqi, Liang Yongtu, Wang Weimin, Zhuang Yibing, Tang Gang, Xue Ping, Zhang Jianwen, Lu Tao, and Liang Lihong awarded the master's graduates their academic caps and gowns in a graduation ceremony, presented the degree certificates, and took commemorative photos together.
The ceremony concluded with the song 'Light of Alma Mater,' performed jointly by representatives of the graduates and campus singers, filling the venue with joy and warmth.
Ren Feng, Zhang Jing, Pan Xin, representatives of the mentors, graduation class counselors, graduates, and over 300 family and friends attended the ceremony.
