In order to enhance the fire safety awareness of teachers and students in the college and improve their ability to deal with sudden campus fires, on the afternoon of May 15th, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, together with the School Security Office, jointly conducted fire evacuation drills and fire training. The exercise activity was led by Yu Hongjie. Zhang Jing presiding over the activity and serving as on-site commander. Wang Zhongqiu visited the site to guide the exercise activity.
This fire drill adopts a practical mode and is conducted in two scenarios. The first scenario is to simulate a fire in the 109 laboratory of the mechanical building caused by a short circuit in the oven, and set up exercises such as self rescue and fire extinguishing in the early stages of the fire, emergency evacuation of all teachers and students in the building organized by the school emergency command center after the fire situation goes out of control and an alarm is triggered; The second scenario is to organize teachers and students to observe the use of fire hydrants and simulate the fire extinguishing process in the outer space of the east gate of the mechanical building, and to practice using fire extinguishers.
At the end of the event, teachers and students visited the laboratory safety poster designed by graduate students from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
