Biography:
Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Design at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Wang Zhixiang is a member of the Beijing Artists Association and the Beijing Oil Painting Society. His oil paintings are widely collected by both domestic and international art institutions and private collectors. His work, "Innocent Years", won third place at the American Art Grand Prix, and "Girl with Flowers" was selected for the Seventh Gemini Art Grand Prix in the UK.
Professor Wang primarily teaches art appreciation and realistic painting. Since 2011, he has traveled annually to European countries for sketching and art research, covering over 40 countries across Europe and Asia. His research focuses on museum collections and historical architecture, and the materials collected are primarily used in the elective course "Painting Appreciation and Practice" at the university.
Research Focus: Realistic portraiture and landscape oil painting.
