The Cooperation Project Between Our School and "ENGEL China" graduation design (thesis) was Officially Launched -- A New Model of Our School's Undergraduate Graduation Design

      On the afternoon of November 4th, the launch ceremony of the graduation design (thesis) project of Beijing University of Chemical Technology - "ENGEL China" cooperation was held in the Gaojingjian Building on the East campus of our school. Mr. Zhang Xudong, President of Sales and after-sales Service of "ENGEL China", Mr. Liu Qingya, Director of the Academic Affairs Office of our University, and relevant leaders, teachers and students of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering participated in the project launch ceremony. Mr. Wang Lu, HR manager of "ENGEL China" (Changzhou) Co., LTD., presided over the event.

Liu Qingya, Director of the Academic Affairs Office of our University, first welcomed the representatives of the university and enterprises to attend the commencement ceremony of the graduation design project, and thanked "ENGEL China" (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. for its high attention and support to the talent training and development of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The major of Mechanical design, Manufacturing and Automation of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of our school, as the training base for innovative talents of plastic machinery in China, has a strong strength, and has cultivated many outstanding talents for China's plastic machinery industry and other related industries, and has produced a large number of excellent educational and teaching results and scientific research results. Graduation design is a key practice link in the undergraduate teaching process to strengthen students' ability to comprehensively apply the knowledge, analyze and solve practical engineering problems and enhance students' innovation consciousness, which is particularly important for engineering students. Beijing University of Chemical Technology has always attached importance to students' graduation design, and encouraged industry enterprises to participate in the graduation design process, raise real questions, and students do real problems. This school-enterprise cooperation graduation design project is the first officially signed project after the trial operation of our school for many years, which is of milestone significance. I believe that students can better deepen their theoretical knowledge and improve their engineering ability under the joint guidance of the school-enterprise mentors.

Zhang Xudong, president of Sales and after-sales service of "ENGEL China" and a graduate of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering College of our school in 1991, delivered a speech on behalf of the company. He shared the development history, main products and market conditions of ENGEL Group, headquartered in Austria, founded in 1945, after 4 generations, 80 years of accumulation, focusing on the research and development and production of injection molding machines, has developed into one of the world's leading injection molding machine manufacturers. He also recalled his study, graduation project experience and career in Beihua, and encouraged students to be down-to-earth and "shape" a better life.

Subsequently, Yu Hongjie, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Mr. Zhang Xudong, president of sales and after-sales service of "ENGE China", jointly signed the "Beijing University of Chemical Technology -" ENGEL "China (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. cooperation guidance graduation design (thesis)" agreement, opening the road of in-depth cooperation between the two sides.

Finally, Professor Ma Xiuqing, the person in charge of "Beijing University of Chemical Technology - 'ENGEL China' (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. to guide the graduation design (thesis)" introduced the graduation design cooperation project, and Mr. Cheng Gang, deputy manager of ENGEL China Design Engineering Department, introduced the specific topics of the graduation design (thesis).
