In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the educational work conference on the theme of "stay true to the original intention and keep the mission in mind", implement the spirit of the education mobilization meeting of the College Party committee under the theme of "stay true to the original intention and keep the mission in mind", and in accordance with the unified arrangements of the college Party committee, on October 30, 18:00, Bing Zhang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, gave a lecture entitled "Strengthening Ideals and Beliefs, Establishing Great Goals" at A-304 of Changping Campus. More than 70 undergraduate Party members and activists attended the lecture.
Secretary Bing Zhang used his experience of studying abroad, research and work to give the lecture on the relationship between practice and theory through two aspects of "Strengthening the ideals and beliefs is always the foundation for CPC members to live and thrive" and "The youth must hold great ambitions, and the ambitions and beliefs of the youth are related to the future of the country".
During the lecture, Secretary Bing Zhang cited many references and a large number of real cases, and combined the theoretical knowledge of the Party with the daily life and the study of the students, to guide the students to learn the basic Party theories and principles, the rules and regulations of the Party, the Party constitution and history. Through in-depth study, Secretary Bing Zhang helped the students to fully understand the theoretical development of the Party, and strengthen Marxist beliefs through learning, understanding, belief, and application. By telling the touching stories of Comrade Wenxiu Huang, "Model of The Times", and Fuqing Zhang, recipient of the "Medal of the Republic", he explained the great spirit of the communists, simple and pure, indifferent to fame and wealth, selfless and fearless. He encouraged the students to venture out of their comfort zone, break through the restriction on thinking, broaden their horizon, identify the trend of national development, and start their own business. He asked students to make good use of the precious youth time to sharpen their skills and improve morality through practices, create a positive learning environment, strictly adhere to the moral bottom line, and hold firm their ideals and beliefs to "follow the guidance of the Party". He also urged the students to cherish this era, shoulder the responsibilities of the times, and strive to become a socialist builder and successor with an all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education!
