On 11 November 2018, Prof. Скопинцев И.В delivered a report on “Simulation Method for Process Design of Plastics Processing” at library’s central conference room. Prof. Скопинцев И.В is the dean of teaching-research section of polymer engineering in university of science and engineering in Russia. He graduated from Moscow Institute of Chemical Machinery in 1983 and stayed at school after graduation, he held the post of associate professor, secretary of Student Recruitment Committee, dean of pre-university faculty, dean of office of academic affairs, and was the honor worker of higher vocational education in Russia, education certificated expert in Russia, a member of presidium of Plastics Processing Association, a member of national “Integration” Advisory Committee, a member of Russian Committee of Plastics Processing.
In the report, Prof. Скопинцев И.В mentioned that in terms of process design, the most important is the rheological equation, viscosity and plasticity weighed the most in the research of which and were the key part in the simulation design.
Prof. Скопинцев И.В led the experiment team to conduct manual calculation and deducted the rheological equation, getting the final result he expected from condition assumption, model’s simplified calculation, simulation demonstration to final experimental verification after going through twists and turns.
Prof. Скопинцев И.В’s report saw a great success, giving a deeper insight into the processing technique to teachers and students and letting them benefited a lot. Wish we can go further in this field!
