Mechanical Innovation Design is a compulsory course for mechanical specialty of this College, and one of the major courses for mechanical basics teaching base of the College, and it's also a new interdisciplinary course. Since the establishment of this course in 1998, the course building has been tightly coupled with base construction, integrating knowledge imparting, capability cultivation and quality improvement. Through approximately a decade of efforts, the course has accumulated rich teaching contents and sound teaching conditions, built up a high-level stable teaching team, formed a sound operating mechani** integrating class teaching and after-class scientific activities, and boosted the modernization of teaching model. This course plays an important role in innovative talents training, and has become an Exquisite Course of Beijing Municipality in 2007. Head of this course is Prof. Zhang Meilin, teachers include: Prof. Zhang Youchen, Associate Prof. Zhang Li, Senior Engineer Wang Yongtao, Associate Prof. Luo Bing, Associate Prof. Li Huifang, PhD Wu Xian'an, Prof. Qian Caifu and PhD Wei Helin.
