This course was formerly known as Engineering Fluid Mechanics, which was changed to the current name by Prof. Wang Kuisheng in accordance with the characteristics of the specialty of Process Equipment and Control Engineering (not only related to fluid, but also related to powder conveying, powder dedusting, powder mixing and separation, etc). In addition, the textbook Basics of Engineering Fluid and Powder Mechanics was also compiled and is still in use. This course greatly improved the comprehensive capability of students by using multimedia teaching means, class discussion and interaction, practice exercises, after-class Q&A, class discussion and report, Chinese-English edition, etcetc., which may help students learn the corresponding English vocabulary while understanding the main contents. Teaching of this course embodies the goal of "strengthening the basics of the specialty, expanding the specialty coverage, paying attention to cultivation of innovation capability and comprehensive quality".
The teaching team currently has 8 teachers, including 4 professors (including 1 academician and 4 PhD supervisors) and 4 associate professors, 7 of which hold PhD degree. This is a teaching collective with a reasonable age structure, professional title structure, knowledge structure and specialty structure, and boasting enormous potential.
