Process Equipment Design is the core course of process equipment control engineering specialty. This course won the title of "National Exquisite Course" in 2004 thanks to strong efforts and good effect, and this is the only national-level exquisite course for this specialty of universities in China. Academician Gao Jinji is the leader for teaching of this course, and Qian Caifu is the person in charge of the course. Chief lecturers for theoretical teaching formed the most reasonable teacher structure of "professor - associate professor - lecturer", and the teachers for practical teaching adopts a reasonable matching structure of "senior engineer - engineer".
Over the past years, the teaching group for the course had been undertaking both teaching tasks and scientific researches, and they have undertaken a great many of vertical and horizontal subjects in addition to teaching. In the recent 5 years, the group has undertaken 8 national and ministerial scientific research projects, published 110 papers on core professional journals at home and abroad, of which 20 were collected by SCI or EI, and published 7 textbooks and monographs. Moreover, the group has won 5 provincial and ministerial awards in total.
