Course Descriptions
This course focus on introducing the theories, principles and methods of modern industrial design by presenting scientific materials.
 
The course is designed around a series of graded reading selections in different subjects of industrial design, and the reading selections taken from a wide range of topics, including design history and theory, design fundamental, product design, graphic design, environment design, and design technology as well. It is hoped that by this course students will be able to understand the notions, principles and methods of modern design from different perspectives.
 
This course not only introduces the relevant theories, principles and methods, but also provides a great quantity of scientific terminologies. It is believed that this will help to build the students’ confidence in coping with the science texts in their professional field.

Comprehensively reading relevant materials and learn the concepts, principles and methods of different fields in modern industrial design.
 
Thirty hours for classroom teaching and two hours for final examination.

Evaluation Approaches
In this course, students will be given a final exam, and will also be responsible for participating in interactive exercises (reading, translation and writing summary) and completing the reading and writing assignments.
