①College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering 1902 Graduate Student Party Branch organized film watching of Mao Zedong 1949

A few days ago, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited the Xiangshan Mountain revolutionary memorial site in Beijing, and stressed that we cherish the memory of this history, that is, to inherit and carry forward the revolutionary spirit of the older generation of revolutionaries, which is, "Take advantage of this great opportunity when the enemy is weak and liberate China; do not be greedy for fame and cause your own failure", and to uphold the revolutionary sentiments of founding the Party for public good and exercising state governance for the people. In response to the call of General Secretary Xi, the party branch organized everyone to watch the movie "Mao Zedong 1949". The film depicted the glorious history that the Communist Party of China led the Chinese people to win the Liberation War, and how the Party Central Committee prepared for the founding of PRC. The film traced back in history the original aspiration and mission of the founding of new China through the unfading themes and innovative artistic techniques, to honor the great achievements of the proletarian revolutionaries of the last generation, including Comrade Mao Zedong and other veterans. The film also set a new model for major revolutionary historical films in the new era. At the end of the film, the real scenario of "the founding ceremony of PRC" was restored, which brought us to that important historical moment, and truly feel the exciting scene through time.
This film lasted for nearly three hours, and everyone watched it carefully. After watching, everyone deeply realized that each communist shouldered heavy responsibility. To inherit and carried forward the revolutionary spirit of "Take advantage of this great opportunity when the enemy is weak and liberate China; do not be greedy for fame and cause your own failure", and the spirit of “Founding the Party for public good and exercising state governance for the people” of the elder generation of revolutionaries. This is not only examples "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind" of the Communist Party of China, but also a review of ups and downs in history, and an encouragement to the pursuit of a better future.

(By Zhe Deng) On September 19, 2019, the 1903 Graduate Student Party Branch carried out a learning activity in 413 of the main teaching building with the theme of "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind". Deng Zhe, secretary of 1903 Graduate Student Party Branch, hosted the learning activity. All students of class 1903 participated in the activity.
In this learning activity, the spirit of the University's 11th Party Congress was deeply studied and implemented. The party branch attaches great importance to this activity and organized unified learning lasting two class hours. This learning activity was mainly divided into two parts. The first is to watch the three videos, including "General Secretary Xi Jinping's Original Aspiration - Liangjiahe Village", " General Secretary Xi Jinping's Original Aspiration - Zhengding County", " General Secretary Xi Jinping's Original Aspiration – Ningde City". After that, according to video content, a discussion was organized to exchange personal opinions on "Original Aspiration".
Through the video, we realized that General Secretary Xi believes that two kinds of people helped him the most: one is the senior revolutionists and the other is his old folks in northern Shaanxi. In the few years when he lived and worked in a production team of northern Shaanxi rural areas, General Secretary Xi saw the strength of the people. To understand people is fundamental for future work. Many practical ideas have taken root when he was in the production team, and he is still being influenced by it. General Secretary Xi released “Nine Regulations on Talent Recruiting” when he was serving as the secretary of the County Committee of Zhengding County, and proposed a "Semi-suburban" method for Zhengding's economic development. It is proved that "Semi-suburban" is an effective and sustainable economic development strategy for Zhengding. In his first report in Ningde, General Secretary Xi put forward that "When you are an official, don't dream to be rich; if you want to make money, don't be an official here; you can’t have your cake and eat it too". He also took the problem of the public house returning as a breakthrough to punish corruption and personally supervised the progress of settlement for the benefit of the people.
After watching the video, Comrade Jian Xiao shared his understanding of "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind". According to Jian Xiao, General Secretary Xi can remain his original aspiration and always solve real problems for the people, which is closely related to his experience in the production team and his working experience. Many of General Secretary Xi's current ideas are summarized in his work. A real understanding of people is the basis of work, and officials should protect the interests of people without hesitation. As graduate students, although "Being honest and clean as an official" is not applicable in our life, we still need to role models as Party members in our daily life. We should focus on doing substantive work to help our clas**ates instead of not seeking our own profits.
The learning activity was completed with the help of all students. Many League members expressed that they were moved and hoped to join the Party as soon as possible. The 1903 Graduate Student Party Branch will always maintain enthusiastic and strive to become a model party branch, it also hopes to receive more members.
③College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering 2019 Industrial Design Party Branch organized the theme learning on "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind"
(By Qi An) To keep up our spirit and move forward steadily, on the afternoon of September 19, 2019, the Party Branch of Industrial Design 2019 Class held the theme learning activity on "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind" in 403, main teaching building.
This learning activity was hosted by Party Branch Secretary An Qi. Deputy Secretary Jian Wang made a sharing. Party members of Industrial Design Class 1901 and Industrial Design Class 1902 participated in the activity. As the second learning conference, first of all, Party Branch Secretary An Qi distributed the party emblem to every Party member and stressed the importance of wearing the party emblem. Then she summarized the work of the party and carried out the election of publicity secretary. Finally, Xinyu Pu was elected as the publicity secretary of the Industrial Design Party Branch of 2019.
At the beginning of the theme learning activities on "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind", Wang Jian first introduced the background of this conference. In Xi Jinping's report at 19th CPC National Congress, he mentioned: we need to promote Marxi** style of study and party-building studies, set up education plans and regulations, and focus on the education of cadre with county-level or above, to carry out the theme education of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind " in the whole party. Jian Wang stressed that thought is the root of action. At the end of the meeting, the students discussed the spirit of "Be ready to take exams" mentioned in the documentary. The spirit of " Be ready to take exams " has a strong practical significance. The party branch organized party members and active applicants to watch the first part “The Birth of New China” of 24-part large documentary films "We Are Walking on The Broad Way" jointly produced by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee, the Central Research Institute of Party History and Documents, the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Radio and Television Administration, the China Media Group and the Political Work Department of People‘s Republic of China Central Military Commission.
The founding of new China is the result of the effort and sacrifice of countless people with ideals since modern times. It is also the result of the revolutionary war led by the Communist Party of China for 28 years. At the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee, the blueprint for new China was drawn and reminded that "We must ensure that comrades continue to be modest, prudent and impatient and that they continue to work hard". As the People's Liberation Army with millions of soldiers crossed the Yangtze River, the Kuomintang regime was destroyed. Democrats gathered in Peiping to discuss the affairs of the nation together. Mao Zedong wrote "On the People's Democratic Dictatorship" and made theoretical preparations for the New Political Consultative Conference. The birth of the new China opened a new era of Chinese history. The contents of this meeting include: (1) Guidance on the theme education of second session of "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind"; (2) the first lecture of “Xi Jinping's Socialist Ideology with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era”; (3) General Secretary Xi Jinping’s spirit of speech at the 60th anniversary of the founding of the National People's Congress; (4) Summary of the achievements of China's network security since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
