Dr. Feng Wang, an associate professor, working in the National Foundation Research Laboratory of Fault Prevention and Hazardous Chemicals Production System in Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), focuses on industrial applications of risk ****ysis methods and application software development. He got his doctor degree of chemical process machinery and his master degree of chemical engineering from BUCT. He was sponsored by the Chinese government and worked as a visiting scholar in Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center (MKOPSC) in Texas A&M University from 2013 to 2014. The MKOPSC is one of the most famous research centers in the process safety research field in America. Prof. Trevor Kletz, the founder of HAZOP and intrinsic safety worked in the center before 2014.

He has 10 years of experience in Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP), Layer of Protective Analysis (LOPA), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Quantity Risk Analysis (QRA). He completed more than 400 HAZOP and LOPA meetings for over 20 units. He has published over 20 papers on topics related to process safety and instrumented system design, and has one patent and three software in authorization.
